Specific indicators of air quality, in short "specific index" is a coding system recorded concentrations for each of the following pollutants monitored:

  1. Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)
  2. Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)
  3. Ozone (O3)
  4. Particulate matter < 2.5 μm (PM2.5)
  5. Particulate matter < 10 μm (PM10)

The general index is established for each of automatic stations of the National Network for Monitoring Air Quality, as the greatest of signs monitored appropriate specific pollutants.

The general index and specific indications are represented by integers between 1 and 6, each number corresponding to a color.

Specific indices and the general index of the station are updated every hour.
