Air quality management

Based on air quality assessment are established methods for managing air quality by identifying locally to areas of interest where you have initiated plans / integrated air quality plans; Air quality plans; short-term action plans.

In accordance with Law no. 104/2011 shall be drawn up following plans:

  • plans / integrated air quality plans;
  • Air quality plans;
  • short-term action plans.

Where only one pollutant exceeds the limit laid down in Law no. 104/2011 on the quality of ambient air quality plan shall be prepared and where the limit values are exceeded the same area for two or more pollutants, then it will prepare an integrated plan for air quality.

The integrated air quality plan (s) is the set of measures that can be quantified in terms of their efficiency, which the activity owner (s) must take so that the limit values, or where applicable, the target values, for air pollutants considered in the air quality assessment are met as set out in Annex no. 3 of Law no. 104/2011, with subsequent amendments.

Responsibility for developing and implementing measures included in the plan lies mayors.

 Air quality plan is the set of measures which the holder / holders activity should take so as to maintain the levels of pollutants below the limit values or, where appropriate, target values, as set out in Annex no. 3 of Law no. 104/2011.

Responsibility for project preparation and implementation of measures included its not plan rests county councils.

The Order no. 2202/2020 are presented lists of administrative units classification schemes drawn up following management areas within the zones and agglomerations listed in Annex. 2 of Law no. 104/2011 on ambient air quality.
